Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 review

DNP Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 review
Before we talk about the ThinkPad Tablet 2, Lenovo's new Windows 8 hybrid, we need to talk about the original ThinkPad Tablet, the one that came out in fall of 2011 to mixed reviews. It was an okay device, when push came to shove, with useful features like a full-size USB port, 1080p output and pen support -- a rarity on Android tablets. But the tablet itself was bulky, performance was sluggish, battery life was mediocre and there weren't even that many Android apps designed to be used with a pen. It was a concept that didn't totally work -- at least not with that OS -- and indeed, Lenovo's long since discontinued it.

Petrol prices may be hiked by Re 1/L, diesel by 50 paise/L by Saturday

New Delhi: Petrol price may be hiked by about Re 1 a litre and diesel by 50 paise a litre by this weekend as oil firms begin to exercise the recently accorded freedom to adjust rates in step with cost.

State-owned oil firms are losing Rs 1.32 a litre on petrol as international oil rates have firmed up during the last two weeks. They intend to pass on most of the loss to consumer at the next review due on February 15.

Also, diesel prices may be increased by 40-50 paise a litre in line with the freedom given by the government last month to raise rates of India's most consumed fuel in small dozes every month till such time that the Rs 9.22 a litre loss is completely wiped out.

"Gasoline (petrol) prices in international market are rising. The trend shows that we will have under-recoveries (losses) on petrol," said R S Butola, Chairman of Indian Oil Corp, the nation's largest fuel retailer.

Grave reserved for Afzal Guru in Srinagar

Srinagar: Days after his execution, Kashmiri separatists have reserved a grave for Afzal Guru at the Mazar-e-Shahuda (martyrs graveyard) at Eidgah in downturn Srinagar.

The Parliament attack mastermind was bestowed the title of Shaheed-e-Watan (martyr of the nation) and a grave, with an epitaph, was set aside for him right next to a similar empty grave of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) leader Maqbool Bhat, who was executed and buried in Tihar jail on February 11, 1984.
The black granite epitaph has Afzal’s name on it. Its inscription in archaic Urdu read: “The martyr of the nation, Mohammad Afzal Guru, Date of Martyrdom: 9th February 2013 Saturday, whose mortal remains are lying in the custody of the Government of India. The nation is awaiting its return.”

An English news channel quoted a leader of breakaway faction of JLKF that the grave was earmarked after approval of the party and that he had led a team to the Eidgah to put up the epitaph on the grave.

A nation in thrall to Poonam Pandey’s used chuddies!

A nation in thrall to Poonam Pandey’s used chuddies

Cineswami is amazed at how Indian men are reacting to Poonam Pandey’s latest offer to give away her bikini

It is a well-known fact that Japanese men are rather partial to panties, especially if pre-worn by schoolgirls. It was a trend that began in the ’80s and came to a boil in the early ’90s with vending machines on Tokyo streets dispensing underwear supposedly fresh off the derrieres of Japanese schoolgirls. These machines eventually went off the streets and the used underwear shifted into the hallowed precincts of adult stores. Sadly, for the panty punters and sellers, in 1993, the Japanese government deemed it illegal to purvey this trade, leaving many sniffing thin air in thwarted dismay.
