The National Award-winning star-actor will shake a leg to an explosive item number just for Shahrukh Khan and Rohit Shetty
Shahrukh Khan can make anybody dance. Ask South actor Priyamani and she will tell you how excited she is to do an item number in Rohit Shetty’s forthcoming film Chennai Express and how eager just to meet her favourite superstar. “I am very excited. I am just waiting for the shoot to happen so that I get to meet Shahrukh Khan and shoot with him!” said the young actor in an interview to a daily.

The 28-year-old might not have done item numbers before, but she has the prestigious National Award under her belt for her commendable performance in the Tamil film Paruthi Veeran. She was also seen in Hindi films like Raavan and Rakhta Charitra. And now she’s all gung-ho about Rohit Shetty’s much-talked about new production which also stars Deepika Padukone.
But isn’t Priyamani afraid of being branded as the ‘new item girl’ in B-town with her stint in Chennai Express? “I have never done an item number. It is the first time and there is always a first time for everything. I am not scared. That (item girls/songs) is a completely different league. They are excellent in what they do, which is fantastic. I am not going to be scared to be branded,” added Priyamani in the interview
